Mazda is gearing up to to offer a complete experience for the visitors of this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Japanese carmaker's campaign at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show will offer fans the possibility to drive the MX-5 model up the famous Hill climb, with the MX-5 race car offering passenger rides.

According to the press release: The Mazda MX-5 Superlight concept that you see in the adjacent picture will make its UK debut at Goodwood, taking part in the Supercar run. The vehicle, which has been unveiled at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show, has been created to showcase the automaker's technology.

It makes extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminum, tipping the scales at 995 kg (144 kg lower that the production MX-5) and is powered by a 125 hp 1.8 liter MZR engine.

The company had also prepared a real-world-sized track to celebrate the MX-5's 20th anniversary. The track will feature all the generations of the roadster.
